No Surgery:

The 2 most common conditions where surgery is often recommended are:

  1. Morton’s Neuroma (nerve irritation/entrapment in the forefoot).
  2. Bunion (bone and/or bursa enlargement at the big toe joint).

Both of these conditions are caused or aggravated by improper bony position and/or function due to excessive compensation.

Pre-treatment bunion angle of 28°

After treatment bunion angle of 16°

Corrective Care at the Foot & Leg Centre works to fix the compensation and encourage the body’s own repair resources to work more effectively. When this is achieved, surgery is less necessary.

The Foot & Leg Centre will refer to surgeons when necessary. We believe, however, that surgery should be a last resort. Corrective Care is an effective non-surgical option.
