Foot Pain:
Aching Feet
Aching feet generally arise from muscles that work excessively. Joint displacement (subluxation) or joint dysfunction will cause the muscles to compensate. Corrective Care treats the subluxation and compensation that causes your feet to ache.
Morton’s Neuroma
A Morton’s Neuroma is usually characterised by shooting electrical sensations from the ball of the foot extending to the toes. Morton’s Neuroma develop from abnormal pressure on the nerve sheath usually due to a collapsed metatarsal arch (at the ball of the foot). Corrective Care restores the metatarsal arch through gentle joint mobilisation and muscle strengthening.
Bunions
Bunions are distortions (subluxations) of the big toe joint. This joint is your body’s launch pad for every step that you take. If your launch pad is not strong and stable, it will distort into a bunion. Corrective Care strengthens and stabilises the whole foot structure to improve and prevent bunion develop. If your bunion is caught early enough, Corrective Care may prevent the need for surgery.
Hammer/claw toes
Hammer or claw toes form because your foot is trying to grip onto the ground excessively. Your toes will be forced to grip if the general foot structure is not working properly. Corrective care will stretch, strengthen and stabilise your muscles and toes for easier, more comfortable walking.
Flat feet
Flat feet will cause uneven stresses and loads through the joints and muscles. Corrective Care works to improve the joint alignment to rebuild the arch profile. When combined with specific muscle strengthening, Corrective Care will improve flat feet.
High arches
High arches generally compromise the body's shock absorption mechanism. It’s like driving your car without springs or shock absorbers. High arches will generally result in abnormal impact forces being transferred into the knees, hips and lower back. Corrective Care works to improve your body’s shock absorbing mechanism.
Excessive pronation
Excessive pronation is usually characterised by abnormal rolling in of the ankles and lowering of the arch. It turns the foot into a loose bag of bones. This causes the muscles and tendons to work overtime resulting in tired, aching feet. Corrective Care restores the strength and integrity of the ankle and arch to withstand the day to day forces the body endures.
