Podiatry Services:

The PODIATRY PRACTICE ACT 2005 - SECT 3, defines podiatry as -

‘The diagnosis, treatment or prevention of disorders of the foot and foot related structures of the human body.’

The Podiatry Registration Boards and Australasian Podiatry Council recognise FMT as being within the scope of modern podiatry practice. Very few practitioners, however, have developed or practice the skills of FMT.

The physiological principles upon which FMT is based are universally taught in undergraduate podiatry, physiotherapy and chiropractic degrees.

The Foot & Leg Centre uses proven alternative ‘hands-on’ techniques to treat biomechanical disorders of the foot and foot related structures such as ankle, knee, hip and low back pain reducing the need for orthotics, drugs and surgery.
