Business a team effort

Specialising in mobilisation has paid dividends a North Adelaide podiatry centre and its clients.

The Foot and Leg Centre won a prestigious Telstra Small Business Award for 2004 last month.

It won the Australian Government Micro-Business Award, for a business with five employees or less.

"This is a wonderful acknowledgement for a lot of hard work and great team effort," podiatrist and centre director Ted Jedynak said.

"A business which serves more than 100 clients each day needs to have a well trained and dedicated team.

"The business stemmed directly from the public's demand for an alternative to orthodic therapy."

The judges were impressed by the level of attention each client received as well as the buoyant atmosphere of the centre.

The centre's services provide relief for problems such as heel pain, ankle weakness, knee, hip and back pain.
